How our service works

Remove the worry of running out of the things you need. With a quick phone call you can arrange one, simple delivery to make sure you stay on top of your medication and appliances. Your order is then delivered discreetly and quickly to your door.

Your personal advisor will contact you by phone or email (your choice) on a pre-determined date to take your order of appliances and medication.

Your advisor completes a stock check with you, you place your order for the next month, then arrange the most convenient delivery date. Ordering is flexible from month to month, which means you don’t end up stockpiling products unnecessarily.

Your appliances and prescriptions are delivered by either our friendly and reliable local driver or our trusted partner direct to your front door, or other specified destination.

Of course, you’re free to call your personal advisor at any time. They’ll be happy to answer any of your questions and advise you on products that best meet your needs. And, because we’re truly independent, you can request free samples from the many different manufacturers to see which one suits you best.

7 great reasons to join

Frequently asked questions

Is contact with Bladder & Bowel Community members controlled by the B&BC?

Yes, B&BC’s database still retains all membership information. Bullen Healthcare only receives data on those members that have opted to use the the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery service.

What is the the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service product range? Is there a catalogue?

We do not hold a catalogue for all the different appliances and prescriptions as each individual case can be different, and the catalogue would be infinite! We do however have a bespoke catalogue for the free complimentary items available to the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service customers.

Who do I contact about the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service questions?

The dedicated Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service telephone number is 0800 031 5406. This number is always manned between 9am and 5.30pm and callers are signposted to the correct person if there is an issue. A dedicated email address is also available homedelivery@bladderandbowel.org

Do B&BC refer people to the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service?

Yes, all B&BC staff raise awareness of the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service and the unique benefits of signing up, obviously using professional discretion about the appropriateness of this on a case by case basis.

Is the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service open to non-B&BC members?

Yes, anyone can sign up to the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service.

What happens to the money that the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service raises?

Most of the money that stems from the Home Delivery Service is used to pay for the service itself – the products, logistics, and the people behind your deliveries all need to be paid for. The Bladder & Bowel Community receives a small windfall which in turn is reinvested into the service that we provide for you – the running of the website, the information, and the answering of the phone is kept afloat through the Home Delivery Service. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to provide the level of service that we currently offer.

Do the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service activities comply with data protection?

Yes! The contract clearly sets out responsibilities on both sides with regard to data protection. Your data and information are kept safe and secure. The Home Delivery Service does not supply third parties with your information.

Does the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service affect our relationship with our members?

Yes, but hopefully for the better. This service adds value to our existing portfolio of services by providing users with a unique and personalised ‘one stop shop’ for their appliance and pharmaceutical needs.

Does the B&BC promote other home delivery services as well as the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service?

No, we solely promote the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service as a home delivery option. The Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service is independent as it is not linked with a manufacturer, so a comprehensive and wide range of products is available via the service.

Do members get a chance to feedback about the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service?

Yes, monthly customer satisfaction surveys provide you with an opportunity to provide feedback. B&BC also conduct independent reviews with members to assess the impact of the service and areas for improvement.

What will the implications for B&BC be should the partnership go wrong?

B&BC continue to monitor the progress of this venture very carefully at both governance and operational level to assess its impact and any potential problems. However a great deal of planning continues to go into the detail of this project, with potential issues identified through stakeholder consultation. There may be unforeseen issues that arise as the project progresses but our team continue to be ready to address such concerns and mitigate adverse impact.

What is the the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service complaints procedure?

Any complaints should be forwarded to Michael Devers (homedelivery@bladderandbowel.org), Call Centre Manager. All B&BC-related complaints should be directed to Ian Hancock (ian.hancock@bladderandbowel.org) B&BC’s contact for handling complaints.

I'm sure that the 'Just Can't Wait ' card will be invaluable but I haven't had cause to use it yet, as I've always been near a toilet when I needed one, since obtaining the card. However, I have had to complain to Morrisons recently due to the fact that for approximately 2 years, the Pontefract branch has on several occasions had no toilet paper in any of the four cubicles in the Ladies toilets. Also, more recently there was no paper in the disabled toilet. Customer service tried a few times to get the cleaner to sort out the problem but after 25 minutes of waiting and becoming very desperate, I dashed into the store to purchase tissues. Afterwards I went to the customer service desk and asked for my money back.

I can't describe the relief when I received the ' Just Can't Wait' card. It's the most humiliating situation, having to ask to use toilets urgently. Now I can just flash my card. Thank you.

Don't know too much about the community but the card will be useful when needed. The 'just can't wait' font could be toned down a bit and the word medical given more prominence so as to be more evident to a lavatory attendant/location.

What a blessing to find an organisation so easy to contact that is very helpful right from the start. It's amazing that a lot of health professionals are unaware of your service and I had gladly passed on your details to many more people who were unaware that an organisation like yourselves exist. Many grateful thanks from a very happy recipient.

Brilliant having piece of mind that even if there is no public toilet I don't have to worry and stops me from having any embarrassing moments. Hello the card which you sent has proved invaluable, due to my medical condition regarding my prostate problem,it is very embarrassing and frustrating especially when in public areas and desperate to use the toilet. I for some time have found myself in some very awkward situations, where I have needed to use the toilet promptly,I have found I have had to hold my bladder the best I could however at times have been quite unsuccessful. By having the card it will give me more confidence when I am out in public, having the knowledge and confidence to allow me to approach a member of staff, who are employed in the area to which I am at that given time,to show my card without embarrassment and hopefully allow me to use their public convenience.. I thank you so much and I'm sure I will be using its valid service periodically,it has given me the confidence to go out without fear and worry of having to wait and find a toilet.. Thank you once again,Kind regards Stan..

I have found the card to be invaluable. Only once in many years have I been told No and simply was not allowed to use their toilets and that was in Currys/PC World but I did take the matter further and was informed that the staff were being retrained and it would not happen again.

I hope that when I am in the hospital, I will not research it. I will have to use the card and doctors will remove my problem ... Thank you again for the card .. I warmly welcome the whole team

The card arrived very quickly, it has already given me more confidence to be out and about as I have been carrying it in my purse but fortunately not had the need to use it yet. I also down loaded the smart phone app onto my mobile while waiting for my card to arrive so now I feel very well covered. I have Multiple Sclerosis and have ‘urgency’ I was caught short once whilst visiting an Aldi store before having the card and the manager let me use the staff toilet which I was so grateful for. So now I don’t need to rely on ‘good nature’, just show the card when asking and it sort of validates the need for asking.

I used my card twice last weekend in Bath, it was so busy that people were also using the disabled toilets. I first used it at a little shop called the Cornish Pasty and secondly at Bath Library because the toilets were out of order in Morrisons, the library is upstairs in Morrisons. At first they looked a little baffled but allowed me to use the staff toilets and were interested to know more about the card at the library. Excellent customer service from both places.
