How our service works

Remove the worry of running out of the things you need. With a quick phone call you can arrange one, simple delivery to make sure you stay on top of your medication and appliances. Your order is then delivered discreetly and quickly to your door.

Your personal advisor will contact you by phone or email (your choice) on a pre-determined date to take your order of appliances and medication.

Your advisor completes a stock check with you, you place your order for the next month, then arrange the most convenient delivery date. Ordering is flexible from month to month, which means you don’t end up stockpiling products unnecessarily.

Your appliances and prescriptions are delivered by either our friendly and reliable local driver or our trusted partner direct to your front door, or other specified destination.

Of course, you’re free to call your personal advisor at any time. They’ll be happy to answer any of your questions and advise you on products that best meet your needs. And, because we’re truly independent, you can request free samples from the many different manufacturers to see which one suits you best.

7 great reasons to join

  • You’ll get your own dedicated personal advisor who will work to support and advise you, but also be a friend.

Frequently asked questions

Is contact with Bladder & Bowel Community members controlled by the B&BC?

Yes, B&BC’s database still retains all membership information. Bullen Healthcare only receives data on those members that have opted to use the the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery service.

What is the the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service product range? Is there a catalogue?

We do not hold a catalogue for all the different appliances and prescriptions as each individual case can be different, and the catalogue would be infinite! We do however have a bespoke catalogue for the free complimentary items available to the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service customers.

Who do I contact about the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service questions?

The dedicated Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service telephone number is 0800 031 5406. This number is always manned between 9am and 5.30pm and callers are signposted to the correct person if there is an issue. A dedicated email address is also available homedelivery@bladderandbowel.org

Do B&BC refer people to the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service?

Yes, all B&BC staff raise awareness of the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service and the unique benefits of signing up, obviously using professional discretion about the appropriateness of this on a case by case basis.

Is the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service open to non-B&BC members?

Yes, anyone can sign up to the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service.

What happens to the money that the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service raises?

Most of the money that stems from the Home Delivery Service is used to pay for the service itself – the products, logistics, and the people behind your deliveries all need to be paid for. The Bladder & Bowel Community receives a small windfall which in turn is reinvested into the service that we provide for you – the running of the website, the information, and the answering of the phone is kept afloat through the Home Delivery Service. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to provide the level of service that we currently offer.

Do the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service activities comply with data protection?

Yes! The contract clearly sets out responsibilities on both sides with regard to data protection. Your data and information are kept safe and secure. The Home Delivery Service does not supply third parties with your information.

Does the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service affect our relationship with our members?

Yes, but hopefully for the better. This service adds value to our existing portfolio of services by providing users with a unique and personalised ‘one stop shop’ for their appliance and pharmaceutical needs.

Does the B&BC promote other home delivery services as well as the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service?

No, we solely promote the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service as a home delivery option. The Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service is independent as it is not linked with a manufacturer, so a comprehensive and wide range of products is available via the service.

Do members get a chance to feedback about the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service?

Yes, monthly customer satisfaction surveys provide you with an opportunity to provide feedback. B&BC also conduct independent reviews with members to assess the impact of the service and areas for improvement.

What will the implications for B&BC be should the partnership go wrong?

B&BC continue to monitor the progress of this venture very carefully at both governance and operational level to assess its impact and any potential problems. However a great deal of planning continues to go into the detail of this project, with potential issues identified through stakeholder consultation. There may be unforeseen issues that arise as the project progresses but our team continue to be ready to address such concerns and mitigate adverse impact.

What is the the Bladder & Bowel Home Delivery Service complaints procedure?

Any complaints should be forwarded to Michael Devers (homedelivery@bladderandbowel.org), Call Centre Manager. All B&BC-related complaints should be directed to Ian Hancock (ian.hancock@bladderandbowel.org) B&BC’s contact for handling complaints.

This has changed my life. I can now leave the house with confidence in the knowledge that if I need to go, I can! Invaluable stress relief.

The card is a useful tool to enable me a discreet awareness should I require the use of toilet facilities. If a publicity/sticker could be available for shops and venues to show they participate in the scheme I feel this would give me the confidence to request if needed. Perhaps local councils could help with the implementation of such a scheme.

I think it is marvellous. I work in the puiblic service sector and have customers who would also benefit from possessing such a card. Would it be possible for me to receive more to distribute ? Lots of people are not IT literate, so could not apply on line

I'm really glad I have this card as sometimes anxiety about toileting issues hold me back from going places and doing things. Most people are only too willing to let you skip the queue at the toilet when they understand you have a real problem. Thank you Bladder and Bowel for producing this card for people like me.

I was very grateful to receive the 'Just can't wait card'.. As someone who now had bowel surgery I am finding that the need to defecate is often and sudden. I seemingly have little control over this and hence the card is a great comfort although as yet have not needed to us it . Thank you.

Receiving the 'Can't Wait' card has given me a little more confidence to be able to ask to use a lavatory in, say, a cafe, when I have an urgent need and I don't feel an obligation to be a paying customer. These situations would embarrass me incredibly and if there were no public toilets open. I would have to go through the motions of buying a drink before I used the loo. This is not about the money but as I have been on a very low income for some time, I literally don't have the funds there to buy things so I think the card has given me a little more dignity in some ways.
