The Original Just Can’t Wait Card has been provided by Bladder & Bowel Community in its present form since 2017, and we are proud to now have over 130,000 cards in circulation. It’s a step towards a more accepting society, and helping reduce the stigma around bladder and bowel conditions.

We’re going through a digital transformation to enable us to embrace technology, reduce our impact on the environment and reach more people in need than ever before – and are proud to provide the first ever toilet card to make use of Digital Wallet technology.

But enough about us – let’s talk about you!

We Hear You

Our community focussed approach means we always listen. We are very grateful for feedback from the community, and proudly list some responses from people who have recently ordered or downloaded and used our toilet card.

We’d like to thank everyone who has provided feedback on our new digital toilet card – and are proud to report that 96% of Digital Just Can’t Wait Card users told us that they would recommend, or consider recommending the new digital format.

These comments have been published with the kind consent from their contributors.

Digital Card not working for you?

We’ve been grateful to receive constructive feedback on the following topics, and have used these to improve our product and process. But it’s also important to us that you know what we’re doing to make sure these issues are addressed.

Here are the frequently asked questions about the Digital Card:

Q: What if I don’t have a smartphone?

A: If you don’t have a smartphone, you can still access the Just Can’t Wait card via postal application. We make a small charge of £1.99 to cover costs. Simply download and print our PDF here, complete and return it to us by post. We’ll send out your card within a few days.

Q: The link expired – what do I do?

A: Due to the nature of technology, these things can happen. It’s always worth checking that your phone software and Wallet App is up to date, and simply reapply to get the link again.

Q: Will I be charged in any way when the card sits in my digital wallet?

A: Not at all – the Just Can’t Wait card will always remain completely free to use. The technology used is similar to that of a loyalty card, so no payments or charges will be allowed. Apple Pay and Google Pay are capable however of processing payments via other cards you might add to your mobile wallet – for example, credit cards. Within your Apple or Google Pay account you can control all of your payment settings.

Q: Can I have a plastic card as well?

A: If you prefer, you may order a plastic card as well as a digital version. Simply complete the form and return it to us by post with payment by cheque (£1.99 to cover costs), and we’ll process your card within a few days.

Q: Can you make the writing larger?

A: Digital Wallet technology is not without limitations –  the size of the text on the Digital Just Can’t Wait Card is already as large as possible. However, as this technology advances we’ll be keen to update the text as a priority to ensure it’s as easy to read as possible.

Q: I didn’t know it was a digital card

A:  We’ve tried to make our online application as clear as possible, so that you know what you’re applying for. If you go through our standard online application form, you’ll be able to instantly download your card. However, if you prefer a plastic card, you will need to order this via post – you can download a form here.

The Original Just Can’t Wait Card

The plastic version of the card has been one of our greatest tools in breaking down the stigma around bladder and bowel conditions and the difficulties people face on a daily basis. We continue to provide the plastic card on a much reduced basis.

We respond to as many reviews as we can, but always take note of points that can help us improve. Many thanks to all reviewers for your honest and valuable feedback.
