Why This Work Matters — And How Your Voice Will Help

Incontinence is far more common than most people realise,  affecting millions across all ages, backgrounds, and lifestyles,  yet it remains one of the least openly discussed health issues. The silence around it often leads to people feeling isolated, ashamed, or unsure of where to turn.

At Grace & Green, we’ve spent the past several years listening closely to people with bladder leaks, learning about the realities behind the statistics, and working to create products and support systems that treat people with dignity, understanding, and compassion.

As a world-leading B Corp, Grace & Green puts sustainability, ethics, and health at its core, creating high-performance products that are kind to both body and planet.

Our values and mission are rooted in protecting people and the environment, so any product we create must not only work brilliantly, but also reflect our commitment to responsible, transparent, and thoughtful design.

“We’ve heard time and again how deeply incontinence can impact daily life”

People shared their conversations and early research, we’ve heard time and again how deeply incontinence can impact daily life: navigating work, parenting, intimacy, exercise, and even simple routines like leaving the house.

Many people shared that they felt their needs weren’t represented in product design, or that available solutions lacked comfort, discretion, sustainability, or affordability.

Others expressed frustration at the stigma that still surrounds bladder health, a stigma that stops people from seeking support, finding the right products, or speaking openly with loved ones and employers.

“This is exactly why we began the journey toward creating our new bladder support range.”

This is why we wanted to expand our award-winning period care range and begin developing an incontinence range designed inclusively for all genders. Before developing a single prototype, we mapped out the core pain points people told us about: discomfort, bulky materials, disposability, plastic-heavy products, irritation, leakage, and the lack of options that feel genuinely empowering to wear.

We then studied existing research, partnered with continence specialists, and garment designers and conducted in-depth conversations with individuals across a variety of ages and incontinence experiences — from postpartum parents and perimenopausal women to men managing bladder issues after surgery. These insights shaped every aspect of the range we’re now finalising.

We’ve tested different absorbencies, trims, and fabrics to ensure maximum comfort and discretion,  and we’ve deliberately focused on improving dignity by designing products that look and feel like premium underwear, not medical aids.

Sustainability has remained central throughout: reusable, high-performance designs that reduce reliance on disposable pads while still offering the reliability and reassurance people need.

Focus Group

Grace and Green Product Trial“Creating products is only one part of our mission. Equally important is helping to break the silence around incontinence.”

Over the past year, we’ve started to build educational resources, speaking with employers about inclusive workplace policies, and advocating for better awareness of bladder health as a standard part of wellbeing. Our hope is that by listening closely, learning from real experiences, and designing with people rather than for them, we can help shift the conversation from embarrassment to empowerment.

“Your participation – whether through this survey or the upcoming product trial – plays a crucial role in that mission.”

Every voice helps us better understand what people truly need, and every insight helps shape products and support systems that respect real bodies, real lives, and real challenges.

Together, we can make incontinence something that no one has to manage alone, and build a future of care that is compassionate, sustainable, and stigma-free.

Help Us Shape the Future of Incontinence Care — Product Trial Participants Needed

Grace & Green, a UK-based ethical, hygiene brand is looking for participants of all genders to join the final testing phase of our new reusable incontinence pants. Your insights will directly shape kinder, more effective, and more environmentally-friendly products, as well as help us advocate for better workplace inclusion.

We’re seeking a small cohort of 30-40 people of any gender, with participation offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We believe people deserve products and policies designed with real lives in mind, and therefore seek to recruit people with diverse experiences of different types of incontinence (including light, moderate, severe, bladder and bowel). We’d also specifically encourage males to share their experiences, as we seek to dismantle taboos surrounding male incontinence.

Volunteers will be asked to trial the product for 3–4 days, then share their experience through a short survey and a 45-minute one-to-one call. Your insights will directly influence the design and comfort of a product created to support real bodies with dignity and sustainability.

As a thank you, you’ll receive a 50% off  to spend on the Grace & Green store — including our soon-to-launch bladder support range, as well as any of our other products such as period care, razors and shaving essentials, supplements, and natural deodorants.

If you’d like to take part, please email [email protected] with the subject line “Product Trial Registration”.
